Heroes of the Sky
The largest Eladric city in Touria, as well as in it’s Feywild counter part. In the world, Ever Spire is a sister city of Bahest, and boasts friendly relations. In the Feywild it is the capital of a sweeping city-state that covers the territory that would occupy Bahest, as well as the land north of it all the way to the coast. In the feywild this region is a verdant and wild forest of both great beauty and great danger. Several smaller Eladric communities dot the landscape, though no shortage of raiders and hostile animals provide the Ever Spire military constant conflict to keep them busy.
For reasons not entirely clear to everyone else, there is a slight touch of animosity between the people of Ever Spire and the Elves that populate the Riddel region. Aeons ago Ever Spire was the capital of an Eladric empire that spanned from the western coasts of Seraph into to the Feywild equivalent of the Dry March. This empire eventually fell apart around for several reasons, but the city of Golden Reach, rebelled long before over a topic of succession. When Ever Spire’s forces crushed their rebellion, the people of of Golden Reach fled to the World, placing a spell upon the city that kept it locked in the world for eternity. Their descendants would become the elves of Ossalelth, who would eventually join the human Kingdom of Riddel.
Though the reasons are fading from cultural memory, the elves of Riddel find Eladrin in general, and those of Ever Spire in particular, stuck up and difficult to deal with, while the Eladrin of Everspire think of the elves of Riddel as backwater and traitorous, although the ‘treason’ they refer to now tends to be about giving up on having their own kingdom to bed, literally and figuratively, with humans. This rivalry isn’t serious, the peoples don’t hate each other outright, but it means that these two communities relish to compete with each other, and likely will belittle each other’s accomplishments. It is a contradiction to the typical jovial ‘long lost cousin’ attitude Elves and Eladrin normally have for each other.
